Create Cool Christmas Card Crafts Just Recycle Greeting Cards.

Upcycle And Recycle Holiday Greeting Cards With This

Myriad Of  Fun Projects!

It seems like such a waste to toss holiday cards in the bin and turn them into landfill. Still many of us live in towns that don't recycle cards.   So, what can we do?
You can donate cards to St Judes Greeting Card Program (which, by the way, takes cards for all occasions).
But, what if you love that card and want to look at it again and again?  Or, you just want to extend the use by upcycling them in your own way? Recycle crafts are a great way to reuse cards.  Greeting cards can be year long projects and made into beautiful objects.
Here are some fun ways to upcycle your cards for this year and next.
*note: These ideas work for any holiday just use appropriate cards. Imagine valentines, Easter, Chanukah, Eid, even Patriotic holidays!  Use new or vintage cards.

Teaching Kids To Cook Healthy

What better way to teach kids to eat healthy, than showing them the ingredients that are healthy!

What better way to teach kids to eat healthy, than showing them the ingredients that are healthy!

A healthy lifestyle includes healthy eating and exercise. Kids can learn at an early age how to have a healthier lifestyle and prepare foods themselves. In a world full of fast food options and eating out, it becomes more important that we give children the tools to learn how simple it is to actually cook for yourself.

You can make it playfull with happy faces or just make it wholeful and healthy.

A simple lesson in cooking and caring:

This morning my neighbors two children brought over flour free muffins that they baked for breakfast.  Not only did they learn this lesson but they learned to share with and care for others. Thanks kids...they were not only healthy but festive and yummy!

A Song for PEACE International Peace Day and Every Day

We have a lot of PEACE on our mind this year as we celebrate International Peace Day Sept 21.

We wonder When will we ever have Peace on Earth?

The International School in Hamburg, Germany sings Planetpals IKIDSCLUB song very well. Allong with the rest of the world, they are hoping for PEACE, too.

Here they are singing Planetpals International Kids Club Theme Song for their UN Day Assembly. The assembly was dedicated to the theme of "tolerance". We give a standing ovation to teacher Marjorie Patterson and her students for such a wonderful performance and sharing this important message!

Back to School Toolbox For Students and Dorm

The best project kit ever - you may even have to make one for yourself!

Last year I was asked to help my grandchild Chris with his project. It was then that I realized he did not have the proper tools at his fingertips. I was an artist and my son always had access to my ART tools like special adhesives, instruments and craft tools.  To this day he is great at hands on projects because of it.

While we were working on his project Chris had to gather items from places all over the house or didn't have things we needed at all! I thought, how can my grandson not have everything he needs to make a professional looking project...or even a great one?

I decided now that he was older it was time he had his own toolbox and one he could replenish and even keep for college if it lasts that long.

So, I went out and got an attractive toolbox.  Filled it with items I thought he would need to make nice presentations and have at his fingertips. All while doing any of his creative or educational projects.

It was the biggest hit ever! Now when I visit and he is working on something I see him go right for the kit! School projects or other!

This is even a great toolkit accesory box for kids, teachers, even the Dorm Room.

So, If you want to make a toolkit for your kid,  what should you put in a Project Toolbox?

Here is a handy list.
Make it age appropriate of course. Dorm room kit might include items such as tools, wipes, bag clips...things needed in the dorm.

You can always toss in a gift card so that they can buy anything they might also want in it! Why not add to it as they get older.
